As a photographer, I hardly ever find myself on the other side of the camera. From time to time I have the rare opportunity to be the model for a few minutes when I visit my good friend (and talented photographer) Alexandra Wallace.
We spend our time looking for cool abandoned buildings, playing in big beautiful fields, and getting each other's hair and make-up styled all the while discussing important topics like a Cappella groups with matching space kitten t-shirts.
This time around I shot her portraits only on film. The true beauty of film is how it forces you to slow down and really capture the best moments. Digital allows us to keep snapping away endlessly with no real intent or purpose, which offers a far less satisfying end result.
